| Business Area | External Sector | | Dataset Name | Summary of Balance of Payments as per BPM5 | | Dataset Description | This dataset is based on all the transactions taken place between residents of Pakistan with the non-residents (rest of the world) as per IMF BPM5.
This data set is available from Q1 FY03 to Q4 FY14 and has been discontinued since then.
The use of signs in the BPM5 presentation is as follows:
(i) in current and capital account, both credits and debits are registered with positive signs;
(ii) in the financial account, increases (decrease) in assets is recorded as debit (credit) and increase (decrease) in liabilities are recorded as credit (debit) positive signs. The net positions of current, capital and financial accounts in BOP statement is arrived at by deducting debits from credits.
